Skip Mills joined the Atherton Police Department over 20 years ago as a veteran police volunteer. Skip, who was a retired mechanic, volunteered to become the DARE car mechanic, working side-by-side with another volunteer on the intensive restoration work. This week he was honored for his contributions with an official volunteer badge. Thank you for all you've done over the years, and for how you continue to serve the community!!

The Atherton Police Department is proud to partner with The Bay Area Cancer Connections in the fight against breast cancer. The police department will be offering a limited-edition police department shoulder patch. All proceeds will be donated to The Bay Area Cancer Connections in Palo Alto. The purpose of the department's pink patch is intended to stimulate conversation with members of the community, to encourage public awareness about the importance of early detection and the on-going fight against this horrible disease....
